[How To] query registry in cmd to check office-hotfix?

Post by crocodilechris » Wed Mar 28, 2007 8:21 am

Hi @ all,

i wrote a cmd to install all Office-Updates after installation:

Code: Select all

ECHO Installieren des Service Packs 2
echo - Service Pack 2 (SP2) f￾r Office 2003
start /wait Office2003SP2-KB887616-FullFile-DEU.exe /Q
echo.

cd "2005 11 November"
ECHO %TITEL% November 2005
echo - Update f￾r Office 2003 (KB907417)
start /wait Office2003-KB907417-FullFile-DEU.exe /Q
echo.
[...]
cd "2007 02 Februar"
ECHO %TITEL% Februar 2007
echo - Sicherheitsupdate f￾r Office 2003 (KB920813)
start /wait Office2003-KB920813-FullFile-DEU.exe /Q
[...]
echo.

cd ..

cd "Extras"
[...]
REM 2006 Oktober
echo - Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack für Dateiformate von Word, Excel und PowerPoint 2007
start /wait FileFormatConverters.exe /quiet
echo.
In my case all Updates are original from microsoft.com and become unpacked at the call in the cmd. Then itself checks if the update is already installed or not.
To avoid this I want to check first if the Update is already installed or if it has to be installed and then do the task i want it to do.

Now my question:
How can I solve the problem? How do I have to write the query and what (which address) do I have to query for that?
