Removing wireless components without destroying XP

Post by pen25jf » Fri Jul 25, 2008 12:29 pm

What components can I remove that are strictly for wireless/remote? I don't have any use for wireless/remote assistance, and I would like a slimmer install. I know some are needed for regular broadband, but if anyone knows which ones can easily be killed off without running into any errors, I'd appreciate it alot. E.g. Remote desktop assistance- don't need remote help

Thanks alot in advance!!

re: Remote Assistance - if you still want/need Remote Desktop (Terminal Services), be careful with what gets the axe.

the wireless and remote assistance components/drivers are very small, something less than 25 Mb.

Just set the services to disabled and you'll be fine.
