speaking of icons.....

Post by newsposter » Sun Aug 09, 2009 1:08 am

Does anyone know of a packager or utility of recent vintage that will take a pile of high-res Vista/Win7 icons and make a resource-only .DLL out of the mess?

Free is better.......

first thing I thought of. The free license service they are subscribed to dropped the starbucks gift card offer. Not much else there I want at the moment. I *could* make a donation to the USO though.

Anyone ever use IconFX?

I have a icon .dll in my cplbonus pack. Created by gconvert. Just grab that and use it with reshack to add\delete icons.

Speaking of this... does anyone know of a tool similar to reshacker that wont spam you with error messages when you're replacing 256x256 icons?
A sufficient amount of googling is indistinguishable from actual knowledge.

this is my challenge too, I'm starting to work with multi-image, png compressed, 256x256 icon files.

There's a tool called "Anolis" that is used to the new version of xpize, maybe it can be useful.
