Thanks for the links. Do you have the link for the jre-6u25-windows-i586.exe file (without the *-s.)?
That's the one without the toolbar installer.

Anyone else have anything strange happen when trying to install?

On my system Avast anti-virus said it was trying to open a string of unrelated executables.

EDIT: I then tried going to https://www.oracle.com but got:

This Connection is Untrusted

Technical Details

www.oracle.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
a248.e.akamai.net , *.akamaihd.net

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

I also got a SSL error from Chrome when trying to visit oracle.com. Probably their site was attacked or something like that. Or maybe just a false security warning.

I downloaded directly from the link in the first post using FDM without any issue.

I then installed on my system, which has Avast Free, and again had no issues.

Everything seems fine here.

I've just installed update 25 (without toolbar), and NO WARNINGS from Avast FREE 6.0.1091 on win 7 x32 sp1. Make sure you have the latest version and the last definition updates.

I'm not using Avast, but I just visited oracle.com using Iron on Win7 Ultimate x32 with no problems.

it's just that oracle.com's ssl certicate is invalid/expired/in process of renewal.

just enter with usual http instead.
