Microsoft Issues Mitigation for Actively Exploited IE Zero-Day

For 32-bit systems, enter the following command at an administrative command prompt:

cacls %windir%\system32\jscript.dll /E /P everyone:N

For 64-bit systems, enter the following command at an administrative command prompt:

cacls %windir%\syswow64\jscript.dll /E /P everyone:N
cacls %windir%\system32\jscript.dll /E /P everyone:N

Undoing the workaround

For 32-bit systems, enter the following command at an administrative command prompt:

cacls %windir%\system32\jscript.dll /E /R everyone

For 64-bit systems, enter the following command at an administrative command prompt:

cacls %windir%\system32\jscript.dll /E /R everyone
cacls %windir%\syswow64\jscript.dll /E /R everyone

If I created an iso with the UPDATE [June 7, 2019]: Post-SP4 Update Pack

Is there any difference between that an the X-mas edition? (or is just the difference is one is an archive and the other is an executable?)
There is virtually no difference.

UPDATE: XP SP4 MUI has been re-upload.
Search the term 'MUI' (without quotes) in the first post and follow the link for details and download.
So, as of January 29, 2020 it appears that the link for the XP SP4 MUI packs is no longer valid. When I try to go to the decoded link it gives me a 404 not found error.

Any chance this will be re-uploaded again? Would be nice to set my XP SP4 installations to other languages.

Will re-upload it in about a month.

By the way no need to worry about lack of access to that file, because luckily a good fella from zone94 by the name of "Philip94" has found the ISO in one of his thumbdrives. I've downloaded it and reuploaded it to anonfile, where it should be lax when it comes to the content along with the files being kept as long as possible.

For safety and preservation purposes, I've used a link protector to protect the files from indexing. (It's also passworded. The pass is the name of a certain forum that you're on) ;)

As always, check the SHA1 hash of the file to validate the integrity and make sure it isn't untampered:

Code: Select all

Hopefully this will suffice until there will be an official reupload.

I just activate Windows Update, then many rollup security updates for .Net Framework versions 2 through 4 are downloaded, some of these files cannot be updated because its only for WES09 & POS Ready 2009.
It seems microsoft still update it until 2019, i dont know in 2020.

I look for bundle files like Windows XP SP4, but only for .NET Framework 2-4. Does anyone know any info about this?

How about Abbodi? but i can not found his NET Framework bundle file.

here is security pack and rollup KB:
KB4040968, KB4040962, KB4054178, 4055229, 4054173, 4095516, 4095528, 4338615, 4338597, 4338598, 4344180, 4462774, 4457046, 4470633, 4470490, 4483485, 4483495, 4483475, 4014580, 4014570, 4021915, 4014585, 4017101, 4014605, 3189598, 3127223, 3135986, 3142027, 3163248, 3127225, 3135993, 3142029, 3163249, 3197835
