The XP SP4 MUI Pack listed here - http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... 755#140755, which is what I thought your torrent was until I finally got it and looked inside.

Cheers and Regards

To help GH0st I have created this torrent.
I will seed it for a while:

OK, this is my first attempt at creating a torrent link as well. Please let me know if this works, be kind and tell me where I went wrong, and please seed!!! (I don't know how long I will be able to seed this myself. :( )

This is a torrent of the entire set of harkaz's cloud files plus the XP SP4 MUI Pack, all enclosed in a single folder appropriately named, I thought, Harkaz XP SP4 Stuff. :) So it is a large torrent, almost 9GB, if you want it all. The files are all in the same structure and with the same names that harkaz used and the MD5's all match for all the ones he has published. You can pick and choose with your torrent client which files you want to download.

For those that have already downloaded the files, if you arrange the files in the same arrangement and with the same original names, you should be able to join the torrent and help seed without having to download the files again. Even if you are only able to help seed the main SP$ and/or MUI files that would be a big help. :)

(The above is the contents of ContentList-with-MD5s.txt, except that the above also includes the MD5 for ContentList-with-MD5s.txt.)

As you can see, I listed the size and MD5 for every file included in the torrent. As far as I know, the only differences between harkaz's files and the torrent are:

1) The ContentList-with-MD5s.txt file with the included MD5's.
2) I included a text copy of the current posts where harkaz describes the contents of XP SP4 and the XP SP4 MUI Pack:
--- XPSP4 Info.txt = http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10321
--- XP SP4 MUI Pack Info.txt = http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... 755#140755
3) I created an MP4 from the YouTube link harkaz provided in his description of the XP SP4 MUI Pack - How To Change Windows XP To Any Language.mp4.
4) In harkaz's cloud files, Legacy/Create 6 Bootable Floppy Disks/Home/ and /Pro/ each have two identically named files. In each case I only included the one with the later date.
5) In Legacy/Torrent/ I included the README.TXT file that was originally there back in November, but is no longer present for some reason. Please note, I have not checked the torrent file Windows XP Unofficial SP4 Final.torrent to see if it is still valid and/or active.

Please let me know if you find any other differences and I'll try to correct them.

Cheers and Regards

Could one of you please test my magnet link and see if I did it right? I could also add the trackers to the link as well if that is necessary.

I found it best, to delete what I had made. Start a new download from Harkaz's magnet link. Once it started downloading ... I stopped it, put the stuff I already had in the folder (like sp4-v3.1a, and other stuff) and caused it to do a "FORCE RE-CHECK", which caused it to find most of what I already had. Like 990mb of the 992mb sp4.exe. Most of the other stuff too. This saved me over 1000mb download. Thus now I got it all to UPLOAD, but I am still downloading the MUI thing, which is over 2gb.

Yup, worked like a charm!

Edit 1:Great upload speed from the Vuse 5.7.0.0 client! 300k+, my top speed is maybe 130k upload

Edit 2: Harkaz can upload at over 100k too!

Edit 3: I run uTorrent 2.2.1 (2.2.1 Forever Baby) and Peerblock 1.2, with alot of the paid custom lists from I-Block List, keeps me safe.

Here is a NEW magnet link, for Harkaz's current torrent. It has had alot of the trackers removed. Some didn't work, some were duplicated. This is the 3 best trackers (IMHO) and it more then enough to get a torrent started. You may want to consider changing to this link ...

Code: Select all

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:B456EB42344F17D2E7CAF7180ED938654BD05444&dn=Windows%20XP%20Unofficial%20SP4%20Final&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.glotorrents.com%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3a80%2fannounce
These are the 3 trackers in there:
udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com
udp://glotorrents.pw:6969
udp://tracker.coppersurfer.tk:6969

So if Harkaz stops his client, updates, tells us what he changed, we can delete what we got, and download from him the newer stuff!?!?!?

I added harkaz SP4.torrent file to the list. Thank You Again. :D

Hi 5eraph I reuploaded these files just incase Thanks :)
The following files in harkaz's torrent differ from those on his Google Drive:
COMPONENTS_REFERENCE.PDF (Torrent file is older)
netfx35_hideupdates.zip (contents identical)
PRODUKEYMODIFIER-V3.1.ZIP (contents identical)

Hope I can contribute to this discussion. I'm not that knowledgeable, but I do have 14 years of working with XP and I've picked up somethings along the way. Any way good morning, it's 6 am est and time to get some coffee.

@ cuzinbob2 - Welcome to the forum ;)

On my side Im still struggling with the slow/freezing USB access on an install that features both chipset drivers and the ram patch files.

Can someone confirm for how many files/folders they have under i386 after SP4 integration but before copying over the patch? ... I have a feeling I might be missing some files, like that time I was missing the winntbbu file (somewhere in the beginning of this thread) :(

Thank you fear jigsaw. You all can call me cuz, but I have found when installing USB drivers I need to do it on an installed system and must go slow and let it take its time for proper installation. Hope that helps you. I use driverpacks dot net mass storage and chipset only. I use nlite to intergrate service pack when aplicable and to make an answer file for unattended setup only.

There are a lot of really great people and I would just like too give them a very big thank you for all that these selfless people have contributed in this and the other threads you all may well know. nono-fabio, user-hidden, 5eraph, one-piece, windowsX (themepack maker), and last but not least harkaz. I didn't mean to leave anyone out as there are so many great contributors to mention .

Stop using the PATCHES ... they are causing your problems. I have the best install of my life RIGHT NOW, never been better, faster, lowest latency and most secure ... RIGHT NOW. No patches used, Default installation will do it for you.

I'm having trouble downloading too I solved with mipony, the original installer has PUP but the silent oficial download is a clean version.

Mipony works great with Windows XP and still require .net framework 2.0

Donot intrigate sp4 under vista or up operatingsystem. You are facing some weired problem. Donot use driver pack and chipset one. First install you iso in virtualbox or any vm you like .Try our sliptream iso under vm wheather it is working perfectly.

Im working on an live WinXP(SP3) machine with 8GB ram .... I swap the HDD with a spare every time I test new ISO.

1. Original + SP4 + Driverpack works perfect (shows 3.25GB Ram)

2. Original + SP4 + Ram Patch works perfect (shows 8GB Ram & is supper fast), but as soon as chipset drivers are loaded problem starts

3. Original + SP4 + Driverpack + Ram Patch = Problem from the 'getgo'

I get what you saying & option 1 from above works and runs beautiful, but I would like to get to the reason behind this error and since this PC have 8GB of Ram, I would like to get that working ;)

The way I'm seeing this fear zigsaw is if it were me, I wouldn't install whatever drivers that is messing things up. ie; if it works don't fix it. Right? Any way that's my two cents worth. So let's see if I'm understanding your problem. 1st: you are working in an XP environment while building the XPSP3; slipstreaming and intergrating and finally creating the setup ISO. 2cd: upon the new system setup and install and first boot everything is great/no problems. 3rd: you install chipset driver and opps it's messed up. Don't do that 3rd step.

That's a question I asked a couple posts back ... If one can omit the chipset drivers altogether .... I actually can't think it being an option, cause isn't the chipset drivers part of having the OS/system in tip-top working order ??

Wouldn't windows update install those driver in any event somewhere along the line ??

This may be due to incompatibility with Server 2003 drivers.

1- Try some "special" usb files (version 5.3) found somewhere in POSReady 2009.
LINK: https://mega.nz/#F!QMsUDaxT!YgkMinAsaPCiUTLcQryR3Q
2- Force installation of a Server 2k3 version of your driver.

If you integrate the chipset driver to the ISO you do not have to rerun a driver chipset after the system is in a live working boot. Setup is done. The drivers being intergrated in the setup. I know I am sounding redudent but running a chipset driver after the new install is also. The point of putting the drivers in the setup is so you do not have to install them again. Maybe I am not understanding what it is you are doing.

I run nlite to slipstream service packs and apply update packs when applicable and to give an answer file to the setup for an unattended setup. After I am done using nlite for all that is necessary I run driverpacks to intergrate whatever drivers I want or need such the mass storage drivers and anything else I would want intergrated into the setup ISO. Then I one last time go in nlite just to make an image of my XPSP4 with drivers intrgrated in to it so I can then burn to a disc and install it to my desktop or laptop or tablet. After it is finished installing and boots to the desktop I check device manager to see what is missing if anything. If I did things correctly in some cases I found no further drivers to install.

My grandpa own same mobo that you have only grandpa is having core 2 quad.
Well I installed all drivers with out single problem with rampatch .
Intel Graphics Accelator also working fine.
Tested with few ati & nvdia card which are ling in my junk box also working great with usp4 v 3.1 . Currently downloading sp4 v 3.1a more 6 hour remaining .
Please try this chipset pack . It contain only chipset driver no usb (null drivers included only infs no sys for usb), i think usb drivers are causing problem

That's exactly how I've been doing it this whole time, only difference is, I include Ram-Patch files before making the final ISO. So yes, I intergrate the drivers into ISO and DO NOT reinstall them afterward again. ;)

@ Dibya - Thanks, but those are the exact drivers I downloaded after you previously gave me those links. I'll do another test with only the chipset and none other.

I've got square eyes & XP files coming out of my ears ....
I'm officially giving up on this Ram-Patch idea.

I'm going to stop you right here, all these tweaks guides will mess stuff up. Harkaz's settings, cause the OS to be very fast as it is. Just use TweakUI to turn stuff off and other tweaks in the OS already to make it LOOK like what you want. To many of the guides you posted are causing you to make changes not needed and could cause actual issues and slow dows. These tweaks were needed with the OLD way of making an ISO with nLite. But SP4 is differant. You will be most happy, with out all this other stuff. IMHO I been working with nLite since it first came out, I have done many many installs before Harlaz came on scene ... I have done many many installs since then, using his SP4 ... I have proven, the best way is to let it install itself.

Forget about driver packs, as you can Integrate (slipstream) Intel Inf drivers right into the OS, so they are the FIRST DRIVERS installed, rather then later. Best, WHQL'ed certified drivers installed right from the start, is the best way to go. You can also install AHCI driver same time, if needed.

You guys are tweaking the shit out of it ... I know this, cause I was doing the same thing with SP4, till I retrained my brain ... to do it Harkaz way. He is very intellegent, A guy in Medical School, becoming a Doctor, and in his SPARE TIME, he has taught himself to make the SP4, this is what he does in SPARE TIME, some people do this for a living, he PLAYS on the side and this one man has done what would take 100's and 100's of Microsoft employees to do!

Guess I need to make a TWEAK GUIDE to go along with my SECURITY GUIDE ... to show the FEW things I do. My computer is very fast. I do have a 10,000rpm Veloraptor ... would be faster is I put a cheapo SSD and loaded AHCI drivers to it. This is the only way to make my stuff faster, other then getting a Sandy/Ivy Bridge computer, but Im not sure if it would be faster then my Core2Quad on XP.

That said, does anyone have actual experience with C2Q and Sandy Bridge rigs, would I actually feel any better with the newer Sandy/Ivy. Im sure less electricity on power bill, less heat, but SEAT OF THE PANTS, would I be glad I made a change?????????????

My fault fear zigsaw I miss understood what you were doing, sorry. Yea I don't apply the ram fix on my setup. Ghost has got it right in MHO the way he does it is best, but I'm not that smart to figure out the right drivers to intergrate so I use driver packs, and it achieve the same results but the setup ISO file gets bloated with a lot of unnecssary drivers. the setup will find the drivers needed and it may just take a bit longer to run, but it does work fine the way I do it. Yea harkaz is an awfully intelligent man.

@Ghost

It's all 'fine & dandy' to leave the driverspack, but what to do once the OS is installed??? ... surely ALL motherboard drivers (including chipset) should be loaded for proper operation of the hardware ??? ... and thats exactly where the problem returns.

... but since no-one else is experiencing this weird phenomenon, I think it's like I stated ealier in this thread that there might be something corrupt with my original disk, and since MS is not supplying ISO/disks, I'll just live with it. ;)

fear jigsaw; Maybe those motherboard chipset drivers that you load after the OS is installed are corrupt. Or conflict with the ram patch fix you have applied to the OS setup ISO?? I wish I could definitively point to your problem, but I am at a lost to be perfectly helpful, sorry.

I'll repeat my comment because I don't know if you've tried it.

This may be due to incompatibility with Server 2003 USB2.0 generic drivers.

1- Try some "special" usb files (version 5.3) found somewhere in POSReady 2009.
LINK: https://mega.nz/#F!QMsUDaxT!YgkMinAsaPCiUTLcQryR3Q

(Update the driver.cab file and the compressed I386 usb* files. Also add the catalog to the I386\SVCPACK folder and update the svcpack.inf [ProductCatalogsToInstall] section so that it installs the usbboot.cat during GUI-mode setup.)

2- Force installation of a Server 2k3 version of your driver, if available.

USP4 NOPOS V2 Registry Fixes

Post by ®ich » Fri Feb 05, 2016 3:47 pm

Does anyone know where I can find the Registry Fixes inf/reg file(s) for the USP4 NOPOS V2 installation? harkaz has referenced this in previous postings, here and at msfn, but I can't find the fixes in the cloud folders.

PS: Huge thanks again to harkaz and all the USP4 contributors here and elsewhere - an outstanding achievement. I've been running two V2 systems for a year now - totally problem free. Now I have an integrated usb installed V3.1a running for comparison purposes. Great, except it was still a bit weird to get a couple of updates from the 'mother ship'. ®
