I have to use this constantly with my addon pack making cos CabTool has an annoying habit of spitting out everything in UPPER CASE - which just hurts my eyes to look at hehehe.

Synesis Software File Case Shell Extension (meflcase.dll)
The Synesis Software File Case Shell Extension allows the user to alter the case of selected file item(s). It provides the three context-menu options for files in the Explorer shell of Convert to lower case, Convert to upper case and Capitalise, as shown in the accompanying graphic below. Selection of one of these options causes the name(s) of the selected file(s) to be transformed in the given manner.
This is very useful when editing html files on a Windows system (case-insensitive) which are then FTP-ed up to a UNIX host (case-sensitive).

Features include:
* Simple and convenient operation, simply right-click on an item in Explorer, and select command.
* Convert file name(s) to lower case, via Convert to lower case
* Convert file name(s) to upper case, via Convert to upper case
* Capitalise file name(s), via Capitalise.
* Convert single or multiple files.

I love this shell extension and have been using it for ages. It's quick and dirty when you just want to change the case of one or more filenames in a single folder without having to crank up your favourite heavy duty mass renaming utility.

This is the very first addon pack that I ever released so I am kinda nostalgic about it hehehe

i think you have the wrong thread, this should be in the addon threads,
BTW, if you ever wanted to test a shell extension addon, simply add defaultinstall section with all the same actions as your optional component section then copy the dll to the shellex folder, and right click install your inf.

Rebuilt with uninstaller, standardised addon coding and naming convention.

Be advised that if I don't get some kind of indication that peeps are using this addon then it will be deleted for lack of member interest.

I've just came back to this place from more than a year hiatus. One thing always been on my mind before coming back here is to know if you were able to come back Mrs. Peel 'coz the last time I was here you were very sick. It's a delight to know that you are all good again.
