Index Service Removal:

http://rapidshare.de/files/14343172/KTT ... n.CAB.html

This had to be the biggest pain to make. Somehow the Index service inf Register's the query.dll, which is needed to search within files, but nowhere in the inf does it say it does it  . So I had to figure out why after removing Index Service I could not search within files. Then I had to write an inf to Register query.dll. That being done, Index service is removed and you can search in files. That just made me so mad. It's just such a stupid to do that. Sorry for the rant I needed to blow off some steam.

Of course not. Most of them work fine now. v1.2 of the integrator will work much better with them.

Dr.Watson has to wait till we can edit individual files. I'll do the communication tools next.

I haven't messed around yet with how to make these things, but I have a couple of ideas / requests if anyone wants to take them on.

Paint and Bluetooth Support.

I always install Paint.NET and so there is really little need for Windows Paint to be in there. The Bluetooth support may be a tricky one as I think there is some Ir intertwined in there. One thing I've always relied on nLite for is Bluetooth removal because the Microsoft Bluetooth stack sucks big time. I have some BT adapters of my own, plus I support a couple of others, but they all support the Widcomm stack which is really quite a bit better.

I hope these weren't done already. I couldn't remember so I just scanned the first post.

Paint need's to wait for the time when we can edit individual files. I'm working on a FF addon, I'll do bluetooth after.

Scheduled Task is used by to many programs. Anyway it uses the same inf as Disk Cleanup. I can't do the bluetooth one because I don't have bluetooth and therefore can not test it enough. But the inf's are:
bth.inf
bthpan.inf
bthprint.inf
bthspp.inf
hidbth.inf
mdmbtmdm.inf
tdibth.inf

These addon's are to remove bloat, but not to remove core part's of windows. That's why I will not make removal for Language bar, scheduled task's, web folder's, web view. One dll that's a few kb's is also not on my list of priority's. Right now I'm redoing the WMP delete addon, I've so far added 84 additional files. Then I'm gonna make one for Portable Media Device's.

BTW my XPCD size is 284 mb.

Ahh... not a problem. I think all the other thigns I wanted to change are registry entries... so thanks for the packs, they've been a big help for me.

Window Media Player + Portable Media Devices:
http://siginet.earlymorninghours.net/Ad ... n_v1.0.cab
md5: 93B6DD56A1EAFD8E13216ACDBC70574C

Note: This remove's the ability to play wma and wmv. The same problem existed with the original addon. Also Portable Media Devices is just a way to sync you WMP library with your Portable Media device.

You're in the wrong thread. This one is old, and should probably be closed (in my opinion).

Every addon here exist in this thread most likely updated. Thats why you get broken links:
[Release] Remove Unneeded Windows Components by keytotime

You might get better help posting there, and if you have any question bump that thread.
