Thanks for the updated addon....

I have to use a local database to use this program. Have you or anyone else found a way around this?

Thanks for the work catching up on your stuff. I appreciate an awful lot of it very much. Some programs I don't need, but you've definitely turned me on to some very useful things over the last year or so. Good luck with the move and everything.

P.S. - Have you heard of MacPac. Looks like wonderful camping gear.

Thanks for the feedback keegan. I have never had to use a local freedb to get this to work. Maybe the program is having trouble accessing the internet because of a network/firewall/router issue? Sorry I can't help you any more than that :(

Minor update to make uninstaller support XP Home edition....

That's wierd. Shouldn't be an issue with a firewall or anything. When I first discovered this program, thanks to your addon, it worked fine. Then FreeDB was bought out by someone and they posted on their web site that they were recoding some stuff and that all would be well eventually. Of course to this day that is not the case, for me at least.

Woe is me. :(

Thanks for the addon anyway, the combination of this program and Enfis CUE Splitter has helped me out a couple times.

Holy crap! You are right, and I only just discovered this today because I was trying to tag some FLAC downloads using Mp3tag and it's not able to connect to the FreeDB as it always has.

Woe is me too! I hope they get this fixed REAL soon or it will be back to the days of manually having to type my tags (((((sob))))

Strange thing about that tho, is that I am still able to retrieve my tags from FreeDB OK using EAC.

How bizarre is that even? :?

I'm not convinced this will be fixed, I've been using a local DB for months now because of this problem. My feeling is that a revamp of the FreeDB Easy Nav program itself may be what is neccessary.

It is still a pretty handy program to have nonetheless. Thanks for the rewritten addon as well, as I may want to uninstall it one day because of this problem.

Well some encouraging news about my FreeDB access problems....

I updated my mp3tag from 2.38 to 2.38c and now this DOES work OK! I haven't been able to find anything in their changelogs to see exactly what it was that they fixed for it to work now, but I am guessing (fingers crossed) that the author of FreeDB Easy nav might need to be updating this software in the same way.

This programs development hasn't had any activity for quite some time now, but he seems like a helluva nice guy who would be more than happy to do an update if we emailed him and asked nicely. I'm busy as a bee at the moment with all these rebuilds, so I nominate you for the job keegan :P

Well, no response from the author so far. I'm not really surprised. I think he's been away from the game (this games at least) for a couple years. Well this program is still useful if want to have the full FreeDB on your computer or a local server. Thanks for the rewrite anyway Mrs.P. Even if I delete the FreeDB local copy off my server, I'll still integrate this addon in your honor :D
