Sorry if this was answered before, but how to install this on a running sistem or as a silent installer? I am using RogueSpear's Other Runtimes V2.5.0 but this pack contains more files. Running runtimes.inf manually or from command line with rundll32 is not all I believe?
Thanks in advance

Welll Kinda...

See you won't get the VB runtimes 2005 and 2008 (Or the Unicode dll update) but you Will get all of the others by doing that...

Indeed. I install new computers voor a small company here and can burn just one pack to the cd, because there are no pack's what's needed by all customers. And that's this pack.. therefore: thanks.

Great work !

I wonder where I can download a older version of your Runtime Pack, without USP10.DLL .

Integrating the last Runtimes Pack, I get a BSOD after the first reboot of installation: " Bad Image USP10.DLL ".

When I remove this Runtimes Pack from the intregation, all is ok with the installation.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry there is no older version (that I have at least)

usp10.dll has been in there for a loooooong time.

You already solved it yourself though just remove the file pre-integration.

in april this year i got a bug-report about this file, too.

The new usp10.dll from Vista causes on XP Problems! I got a report about a "MEM_BAD_POINTER" Errormessage when closing programs which use the Smartheap-Library shw32.dll from the company "MicroQuill"

since then i use the SP3 version of usp10.dll in the runtimes-addon and all works fine!

My fault !!

I discover my CAB archive is corrupt. So I download a fresh copy, now all work fine without any problem. :D

Thanks.

Suggestion: libpng (PNG library)

no Windows binary available on website and Sourceforge page

However, VBA-M, a recent Game Boy Advance emulator, use it. Developers have compiled libpng as libpng13.dll. Just grab the latest VBA-M release, dll is in the archive.

(their zlib1.dll is outdated, I know)

The mfc80u.dll and mfcm80u.dll versions are causing adobe lifecycle designer to crash. When I copied an older version into their folder to replace them. It loads fine so that must be the cause.

Also something in the pack, I'm not sure what yet, is causing a program here at my work to be uninstallable. When I called their tech support they said the part it is failing on is the sequel part. It tries to install MSDE and errors out.

I should mention though that the version I had these problems with was 4.4 not 4.6 but not sure if anything new would fix my problems.

well I was right on the adobe lifecycle problem but the part i mentioned about this pack causing another installation to fail was incorrect. Still having problems with it without this pack. Sorry.

I can do it in one sentence!

Adobe's lifecycle program cannot handle the newer mfc .dlls and I miffed up the other part about it causing errors with another "Unnamed" program.

There is nothing I can tell you about adobe lifecycle I am not going to outdate my pack for one program, sorry. You can freely mdoify it yourself though. Just please don't release a clone of my runtimes pack.

Also you are free to use roguespears pack which may (or not) work better for you...

Sereby, I'm simply curious, would you try your MicroQuill apps with this version of USP10.DLL?

USP10.DLL v1.626.5756.0
(taken from my Office 2007 install on Windows XP)

thanks

Sereby, this looks like KB910466, except that this is with a newer version of Uniscribe--a regression, maybe? MicroQuill also claims that newer versions (8.1+) should suppress this error.

The real question that should be asked here is, do you see this problem on Vista? If you don't see this problem on Vista, then this could be a problem with backporting a Vista library for use in XP in a way that Microsoft never sanctioned. If you do see this problem in Vista, then it's probably something wrong with MicroQuill's software or a legitimate bug on Microsoft's part.

(OuTman, I'm not sure that would accomplish anything, since the USP10.dll used by Office is not installed in a system location and is used only by Office.)

i even dont know what MicroQuill is :D i just got a message in my forum from a guy which tested all and said that older usp10.dll is working and then i replaced the vista dll file with the one from KB910466.

but after SP3 was released i replaced it with the version of SP3 because there is this fix included :)

Well, can you ask the guy to test the same version of MicroQuill's product in Vista?
