[Release] AIO Cursors Addon Pack v1.9

Post by MrNxDmX » Thu May 25, 2006 10:11 pm

This pack contains Aero, Aero II, BlackSpins V3 (9 Flavors), Chrome Glass, Conrast Black & White, Fedora, Fedora Inverse, Gant cursors 2006 vol 1, Gant cursors 2006 vol 2, Mac OS X Aqua, Mac OS X Aqua Swirl, Mac OS X Graphite, Mac OS X Graphite Swirl, Mac OS X Radioactive, Mac OS X Rainbow Swirl, OSX4XP, VistaPlastic (S&W), xFree, XZ-B-ONE, XZ-B-ONE Light Cursor Packs.

They will be installed to their default folders, and also registry entries will be installed as default.
If you use with a cursor pack that exist here, no problems will occur, as i used original names & folders.

This packs contains just one cab and just one inf file. It was a hard work to collect them all, rename to a proper name, then build again.... 8)
Thanks to Kelsenellenelvian & ricktendo64 for addon permissions, and also to all creators of these schemes, for their valuable efforts.

No errors in FGCBA. (Tested and working fine.)
Please refer to CursAIO.inf file in addon for Cursor pack informations.
Enjoy!

Hi, There are some problems in this addon pack and they are correctly identified by FGCBA.
!- 4 warning(s):
- "NR_CursorsAIO.cab" referenced in "Entries_CursorsAIO.ini"
does not follow the 8.3 naming convention!

- "NR_CursorsAIO.inf" referenced in "Entries_CursorsAIO.ini"
does not follow the 8.3 naming convention!

- [DefaultInstall] section does not exist in NR_CursorsAIO.inf
- "CB_Hr.cur" is referenced 2 times in [CB.Cur]!
!- 4 warning(s).

!- 1 error(s):
- "CB_HW.cur" is specified in [SourceDisksFiles]
but not in any of the CopyFiles sections in NR_CursorsAIO.inf!
!- 1 error(s).
The DefaultInstall warnings is not serious but the others are.

In addition to the INF and CAB being more than 8.3 (which will break WINNT.EXE installs), there is a typo in the INF file:

Code: Select all

[CB.Cur]
Alternate Select.cur,CB_AS.cur
Busy.ani,CB_Busy.ani
Diagonal Resize 1.cur,CB_DR1.cur
Diagonal Resize 2.cur,CB_DR2.cur
Handwriting.cur,CB_Hr.cur
Help Select.cur,CB_HS.cur
Horizontal Resize.cur,CB_HR.cur
This can be fixed by changings "Handwriting.cur,CB_Hr.cur" to "Handwriting.cur,CB_HW.cur"

It's not a big deal. Unless you install windows from a dos prompt.

The addon should be fixed to be 8.3 compliant... but you shouldn't have to worry for now anyways. Ryans UpdatePack is not good for dos installations anyways at the moment.

It makes no sence to hold Old OsX Cursor Pack...They already exist in Rick's OsX Cursor Pack Addon...

IMO,Remove them forever...

If you are happy to keep them then we don't care... :)

Btw,Thanks for This Wonderfull Addon pack....

I got strange error when i clicked mac os x cursor schemes from control panel/mouse. Then I opened regedit and checked entries of moc os x cursors. It seems regedit doesnt accept that long lines. I should change directories, so i can reduce characters used...

Updated to 1.7. Added XzBOne and XzBOne Light Cursors, and fixed pop-up comfirmation.

Size of addon nearly got 2 times bigger than previous version. Its because of XzBOne Cursor packs. They look very cool!!! :D

Do you folks want to see Color Aero Vista Cursors v1 by ricktendo64 in this addon? He says they are exactly the same, but it has different color selections for busy and working arrows. Remember that your "mouse cursor selection window" will be loooonger

Are you gonna include the new 'color' Aero cursors that rick posted? I tried 'em last night. Honestly, they aren't that great. The default 'blue-green' works just fine for me. The color ones look too 'pixelated' IMO.

I googled for it last time, i changed something in hkcu, it didn't seem to work, after a restart or several or something, it went back to default cursor. after that i did it manually... was hoping someone here could point to me exactly what it is.

edit.. on the contrary
OK... ill go figure out my own solution... try and try and try again.... thanks

looks like plenty to do still.

Edit your default *.Theme file and list the cursors you want as default. You should find all of the reference material you'll need from the link I gave you in my last reply.
