I noticed that 1 of your tweaks is not there anymore. I mean the tweak that adds files to the playlist instead of replacing them. Can i know the reg key that does that?

I've answered a similar question before, Broly10000; on page 5 of this thread, as a matter of fact. :)

Here's the full key again, for those who missed it:

Code: Select all

HKCU,"Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences","DoubleClickPlay",0x10001,0

booogy & n7Epsilon

how hard will it be to support an IE7 slipstreamer
it just occurs to me, you did a great job on wmp11

regardless, i think IE7 can use one ,anyone thinks the same ?

the real question is who?, can create and maintain it ;)

new version out

changelog in 0.96
1. Added more checks to block slipstream if selected installer doesn't match the source (by parsing control.xml). This was the reason of some "File not found" errors when extracting the installer.
2. Fixed an issue where .NET GC wasn't executing SafeHandles' destructors fast enough leading to a temporary file handle leak causing "File in use" errors.
3. Added a check for hotfix existence

I was still getting that error, and I had a crazy idea I was sure wouldn't work but it did.

I changed the process priority to idle and it worked fine :o

Weird.

I've just made a new build which used your excellent slipstreamer Boooggy, and I also use CNC's latest DirectX addon, and it works fine.

i tested with all integrated (except rougues runtimes)
and all worked fine.

i did like this
copy the source on my hdd
then run wmp11 slipstreamer with all hotfixes.
then integrate with nlite
1. xable's November update pack
2. DirectX 9.0 Novemver pack CNC
3. NR IE7

installed in vmware and all is perfect.

well strike.....
wmp 11 slipstreamer can integrate only wmp 11 hotfixes not the ones for other windows products.
so please remove the first fix which is for .net 2.0 and u will not get that error.

@boooggy, i tested many times wirh you order, and i am without success.

I use RVM 1.43 and 1.5b28 all the time, maybe is that problem.

I read somewhere that xable's pack not compactible with RVM inegrator, and then i use to test with Ryavm 2.11 june package, and i get same error. I dont know what is happend with this 0.96 version of inegrator but i have allredy splitsteamed CD with Ryanvm update pack + code65535 addon and IE7 and DX9 form august and WMP11 with all 11 hotfixes but integrated with 0.95 version.

Everything working fine on clear SP2 source, when wmp11 is directly integrated to clean SP2 source, but when after integrate RyanVM or xable pack, wmp stop to work.

I now go to use nLite.

hi, Boooggy.

KB941569 contain a new build 11.0.5721.5238 of a WMP11 file, Wmasf.dll.

WMP Slipstreamer seems to accept the hotfix but verifying the source after slipstreaming shows integration of build 11.0.5721.5145 (from original installer) instead of newer 5238 (from KB941569)

hi boooggy. a small request:

when nLite opens WMP11 slipstreamer, it automatically selects the default WMP icon, and includes .cat files. would it be possible to change the slipstreamer's default settings so that, for example, nLite automatically integrated WMP11 with the vista icon and without .cat files?

im not sure if this would be more of a job for you or nuhi, and i can easily change the WMP icon after XP has installed. but would this be possible?

great job on the integrator anyway. working perfectly with all hotfixes on XP x64.

well
i talked to nuhi over this but he wants wmp 11 to be integrated as default and i have to agree with him.
thats why u can run the slipstreamer stand alone and make the choices u want.
as for .cat files u can choose to remove them all in nlite ....so wmp 11 cats will be also removed.

ah, i forgot than nLite lets you remove cat files. thats unfortunate than nuhi wouldnt allow us to use the vista WMP icon when integrating, but i suppose he knows best. guess ill continue manually replacing the icon.

thanks for the effort though, boooggy! :)

..so, as MS released an hotfix related to KB941282 and it's still publicly available, why isn't it in Boooggy's page?

Because Boooggy's page correctly lists only hotfixes not obsoleted by newer one, even if this is not officially stated by m$ in his kb article

Actually being a VERY new fix it might not have made it to booooggy's page yet.

From what I understand he is getting a new version of the slipstreamer ready. He should be updating the page soon.

Ya know what I do believe it is superseeded by another hotfix.

Boooggy has said in the past though that you can include all hotfixes for WMP11 and the slipstreamer is smart enough to tell the differece in file versions and crap.

I've advised this fix (KB944882) because it is new and similar in structure to KB941569 so I think it can't be integrated with the slipstreamer.

KB944882 for x32 is working integrated with actual slipstreaemer but the version for x64 doesnt work thanx to microsoft which are changing wmp 11 hotfix structure like monkeys......
so new version will be released as soon as we get time to make both 941569 and 944882 work....

I have to be honest, although the slipstreamer is great, I much prefer the addons you were making. It was much easier to take a WMP11 addon into nlite than it is to download all the updates, keep things in folders, run the slipstreamer, and then nlite.

But either way, the work is definately appreciated!

True it is easier to maintain and update, I'll give ya that. Was easier on this end to integrate with an addon haha
