[Release] Onepiece IE7-8 XP/2003 Addon Maker
Onepiece's Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP with updates Addons
Searching for IE 8? See here: Internet Explorer 8 RTM for Windows XP with updates Addons
- "True" Addon: dropped - please use Universal Addon Creator like I do and you'll get this: http://voidseesaw.com/onepiece/OnePiece ... dOn_ENU.7z - hash MD5 CCAC2C0427C64788B4C8BEEA2C144E40 - hosting kindly provided by voidseesaw (many thanks to him)
- Universal Addon Creator: (for IE7 and IE8 for Windows XP and Server 2003, in every language):
http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=97019#97019
IE7 installer and available hotfixes:
Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP
KB935560 - request-only
KB938127-v2 - security update
KB2497640 - cumulative security update
You can also decide if keeping or not IE Desktop Icon:
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/156/ie ... icone1.png
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/1289/i ... icone2.png
The IE addon will work with Nlite 1.4.x and RVM Integrator 1.6.x on a Windows XP SP 2 or SP 3 (or Windows 2003 Server) source
IE integration esthetic side effects (not Addon bugs):
* only for RVMi users - Integrator will warn about 2 files exceeding 8.3 format, ieframe.dll.mui and msfeedsbs.dll: don't worry because integration works fine anyway
* setuperr.log will point out harmless error messages about some IE files like imgutil.dll, inetcpl.cpl, inseng.dll, mshtml.dll, msrating.dll, pngfilt.dll, occache.dll, webcheck.dll (caused by the patched Syssetup.dll used for integration and then restored with the original one). If you don't tolerate it you can integrate in addition this Onepiece Repair IE cosmetic problems addon (Hash MD5 776B9EF697DF0EA0B65DEC5E99339EFD - Filesize: 1.46 Kb) which does nothing else than cleaning those false errors in your setuperr.log file.
Many thanks to Nuhi (http://www.nliteos.com) who first used a similar integration way and to Siginet (http://support.siginetsoftware.com) for his RVM Integrator and his suggestions

many thanks from him.
he has developed same addon in italian. the only problem is the non-compatibility with Integrator because it doesn't write the sector [txtsetup_fileflags] in txtsetup.sif, maybe because addon is not 8.3 compatible.
I think the english one has the same issue. If so, anyone can suggest a workaround?

@boooggy:
Onepiece says that if you put any shortcut on quicklaunch (he prefers WMP because is the most used but you can put there Messenger or other) you solve the Show Desktop bug.
also, his addon integration method seems to be inspired to Nlite one.
@bober101
as normal user I can't fix the title: it lacks in "ay)"

Yes, onepiece says his addon is only compatible with Nlite because Integrator doesn't support filename exceeding 8.3 format.
He has not found a way to work around that.

Now addons are tested to work with XP pro/home with any kind of update pack.
There is also a batch for building your own IE7 addon.
Onepiece thanks you all for your compliments and apologizes for any bug in development of his addons

Is he continuing to update his addon? Is there a changelog available? Are the links in the first posted updated? Thanks!nonno fabio wrote:Now addons are tested to work with XP pro/home with any kind of update pack.

I try to translate in my bad english what Onepiece writes me in a bad italian
His aim is to continue updating this addon with next hotfixes, even if he won't have much time for next 2-3 months.
Perhaps it will be a changelog for the next builds: as yet, builds posted were only bugfixes.

no, I think there's a problem with Integrator and 2 MUI files concerning dosnet.inf and the [txtsetup_files] line.
He posted that 8.3 version for someone who would wish to try making it compatible, solving the problem

Unfortunately this didn't work for me, may be because of integrating it after stripping the crap out of an xp disc via nlite before integrating this with nlite... but I have used the same settings before with a different IE7 addon and had no problems... this one would not load and broke chm files too... but strangely it did not break WPI during the installation process... very very strange... going to try the updated version now...
_coming soon, don't hold your breath
IE7
I really like this addon, works really well.
only problem i have atm, is that, when i first run IE7 it asks me do i want to used IE7 as the default browser.
i'm not sure if thats the way it's ment to be, or if i have done something wrong, is there a way of fixing this??
thank you
Jesse
Fixed: i found that ieframe.dll was not being registered in syssetup.inf, i put the correct line in there, and it works perfectly.

Yes, yes, I know that, but this custom WinXP I'm talking about isn't made by me, so IE6 is already removed.code65536 wrote:And why would you remove IE6 before integrating IE7? @ jessjcee: modified as your suggestion
@ Sereby: Onepiece has never mentioned you only because he didn't even know about the existence of your IE7 addon.
His addon is based on method of integration used by Nlite automatic integration (so thanks also to Nuhi).
The .inf used in his addon has nothing special. Anyway, he apologizes with you for despite and thanks you with delay for your work, who has probably inspired the Nlite integration system.
@everybody: consider this addon and other Onepiece's "creations" as a gift: if someone likes to take it and improve or modify giving also his name, he is welcome

In what order is everyone installing this thing... I have tried IEAK7, this addon and the other famous one in this forum and NONE have worked for me... this is my process:
1. Fresh I386 folder
2. Use Booogy's WMP11 Slipstreamer
3. nLite + remove components + tweaks + DX9c 0.3.1 (august) + this addon/IEAK7/other IE7 addon (one of the three not all three at the same time just in case you were wondering)
4. RyanVM Integrator + RVM Update + code's RVMUpdate
5. Integrator + a few addons + WPI
I have eliminated steps 4 & 5 and still get the same result. I am not removing anything with nLite that would affect IE7... I am at a total loss, because I can manually install my IEAK7 and have no problem... any suggestions? Maybe I shouldn't post this here as it isn't just this addon which hasn't worked for me. Mod please move if necessary!

I am truely at a loss... I finally got everything working on my unattended EXCEPT for this...Gorki wrote:Great addon nonno fabio. Say thanks to Onepiece.![]()
I've been testing it used Nlite and .7z file since it smaller than .cab and it works perfect!
After doing some research I read in integrator instructions (or maybe it was nlite instructions) to apply all update packs via RVMI before running nLite to strip components etc... so I changed my method
1. Fresh source
2. RVMI + RVM 2.11 + Code's update + addons
3. Booogy's slipstreamer WMP11
4. nLite to remove components and tweak + integrate this pack
5. create boot cd.iso
testing in VMWare now gives error amdk6.sys and some other files couldn't be copied after the format and before setup
I haven't changed any of the nLite tweaks/settings since changing the order of integration and before I this way I got NO file errors, just when try to run IE7 after setup complete and first fresh boot it refused to load and I got error report dialog with something about ieframe.dll (also tried manually adding this in syssetup.inf and still didn't work.
Is there a known incomatability I might be missing here? There are no issues with any of the RVMI integrated addons as far as I can tell, because everything loads and works as it should except for IE.

I'm not shure what is causing it...I tested it several times until I decide to keep it and use it. I use ONLY Nlite due the fact that it provides much more optionsthan RVM integrator...
I used this order (if I understand correct code65536's notes):
