I must thank RyanVM, Xable, Skitty, Dgelwins, Zacam, booogy, Joey Joe, Mrs. Peel, Mindwarper and Siginet for this pack. (And any others I forgot to mention, Thank you!) I got it by adding Ryans Addons pack and all of the non-conflicting fan made Addons into one large pack. I will be updating this pack as often as I find something new to add or if I am notified of an update to the programs included...

OK you can add it in a runonce fashion but the script needs modifying and .vbs is very foreign to me.

as suggestion : may be remove notepads from uber ,and offer separate & another separate set for 2 notepads in one addons
why the double trouble only to make ptweak reserve ("Open &With Notepads") ?

one request for your .inf...

could you edit the spots where you have "%16422%\Utilities\Regshot\Resource Hacker\Unlocker...etc" to be "%16422%\%RegShot%\%Reshack%\%Unlocker%...etc" I mean you have the strings defined... why not use the variables instead of the literals? Just a thought...

hmmm question... is this an error in the .inf?

Code: Select all

[Note.main]
change.log
config.model.xml
contextMenu.xml
doLocalConf.xml
langs.model.xml
n-license.txt
notepad++.exe
nppcm.dll,,,1 <------ERROR?
QuickText.ini
n-readme.txt
SciLexer.dll
shortcuts.xml
stylers.model.xml
this pack seems to have killed my disc... it is the only update I made this morning and now it's dead... thanks again for all your efforts!

Its not an error its called a flag, its used during uninstall to del the file on reboot (FGCBA will say its an error but its not)
DelFiles

[File-list-section]
file-name(,,,flag)

A DelFiles section lists the names of files to be deleted. The file-list-section name must appear in the Delfiles item of an Install section.

file-name
Identifies a file to be deleted.

flag
Optional parameter used to force Windows 95 to delete the file named in the item if it is in use during the installation process. Set the flag parameter value to 1 to cause Windows 95 to queue the file deletion operation until the system has restarted. If a file marked with the flag=1 parameter setting cannot be deleted because it is in use, a system restart will occur after the device installation is complete.

Value Meaning
1 On CopyFiles: Warn if user tries to skip file.
1 On DelFiles: If file is in use, queue up delayed delete in wininit.ini. Otherwise an in-use file will not be deleted.
2 Setup Critical: don't allow user to skip file.
4 Ignore version check and always copy file. This will overwrite a newer file.
8 Force Rename (trick engine into thinking that file is in use). Note: Only happens if file already exists on target.
16 If file already exists on target, don't copy.
32 Suppress version conflict dialog and don't overwrite newer files.

If you do not use the flag parameter value equal to 1 along with a file-name parameter, then if that file is in use when the DelFiles section is executed that file will not be deleted from the system.

This example deletes three files in the system folder:

[DefaultInstall]
DelFiles=DeleteOldFilesSec

[DeleteOldFilesSec]
file1
file2
file3,,,1

[DestinationDirs]
DeleteOldFilesSec=11

also just noticed the file copy section hasn't been changed per booogy's suggestion in the other thread? Could that be it? I wouldn't think so because the 1.5.3 inf is the same in that respect and I didn't have problems with it.

ok well I don't know all that much about .inf creation or the advanced options available to their creation... I just noticed the line and it looked a little odd... I just know that 1.5.3 worked for me and this 1.5.4 doesn't and it was the only thing I changed on the disk...

oh the other thing i was referring to earlier was this:
boooggy wrote:Npp++Tools.dll is the file
kel, check the inf on file copy section
the line should be

Code: Select all

Npp++Tools.dll,NppTools.dll
does that help?

p.s. this still hasn't changed in this version...
p.p.s. it's under the [Note.main] section of the .inf

nppTools.dll is the name that the file is suppossed to have in the end, however there is a npptools file on the xp disk. so that the proper file is copied i renamed the original to npp++tools.dll and have the inf rename it during the installation proccess.

Trust me I got it right this time.

Send me your inf so I can test it please.
