There's no need to yell. That's a known error. Kels will fix it when he has time.

I fixed it.
BUT I really must tell you guys something:
I am very close to quitting.
My faith in basic humanity has been destroyed.
Almost ALL of the newer people here just treat us like slaves and I am fucking tired of it...
We do all this for free and almost NEVER get anything back or ask for anything.
It's bullshit really.

As for your post, I certainly hope it wasn't targeted at me. Regardless of whatever conflict of opinions we may have had in the other thread, I have never shown any disrespect or lack of appreciation for all the work you have contributed to the community.
I hope you do choose to continue, because I am sure that the number of users grateful and appreciative of your work far exceeds those that may have shown you some disrespect.

Hi Kel, thanks for the update.
Could you suggest why I had a few issues...
Built disc with onepiece current pack and a faststone capture addon (which always goes silly at T13 trying to connect to Internet) but I have used many times in my builds and it ALWAYS gets over it OK....) this time however I used used rick's VBCFJredist_AIO instead of the older yumeyao version... this was popping up shitloads of stuff at T13 and ended up with broken install.
So I did excat same steps but left out faststone and rick's VBCFJredist_AIO... disc istalled ok but there is NO sign of your 12.88 addon at all.
It is in the rvm install log
edit, not sure why we lose HP format tool, it worked fine... wot do we use now?

Hi, all. I'm new at this community.
First of all A VERY BIG thanks to @Kelsenellenelvian for the gr8 job he offers.
I was using this handy utility from the XP era. I've found the latest 12.6 version on Wincert forums but then i discovered that this gr8 stuff was here.
May i have a small help please ?
In XP and W7 the items are added automatically to Control Panel. In Windows 8 this can't happen.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the update, Kels. Tested and working perfectly along with a bunch of other of yours and OnePiece/NonnoFabio's addons. I've been using this for years without problems. By the way, I think you surpassed many software authors in terms of support and longevity!
EDIT
However, this being called a MegaPack, shouldn't a common item like the DXDiag (you already have this CPL AddOn, it's available for download over at the WPIW downloads section) be included? I don't remember, but I think it was present in previous/older versions. What about WinIPConfig? I've been using it as a separate AddOn as well.
I was also wondering how you came up with that
ish name
not sure what to call you
Is it a combination of names, as would be the case with KelsenEllenElvian? Sounds like an RPG character's name. Not that mine is any more naturally spelled...
I've read you no longer use WindowsXP (I assume this pack is XP-only but I'm not sure about the silent installer), so consider this more of a wish than a request. By the way, the silent installer (I may have used a slightly older version, such as the latest WinCert update, I don't remember) fails with the error "couldn't find cttune.chm in I386" or something like that, but the temporary folder in which it looks for the files doesn't contain any such folder (or any folder for that matter).
Another EDIT: Oh and WinSock and HostsXpert
SafeXP seems cool too

Lets see here:
The dx thing that WAS in my pack was dx control panel and it actually was a bitch to maintain.
It was a very version specific cpl. However just plain ol dxdiag make sense.
Kelsenellenelvian is a derivitave of Kelsenellenelviall who was a character for Dragons Dagger a book by R.A. Salvatore. I instantly decided that was going to be my name.
I am a huge gamer and have D&D tattoo's and host 2 games a week. (Been gaming for 30 years)
I used to use safe xp but afaik they haven't changed it since well before sp3 and it needed some major changes back then.
Hostsxpert? lemme have a link please.
winsock? never used it.
OH and Kel is fine!

OK so, the DX CPL AddOn (it's just opening DXDiag as far as I know, right?) which can be downloaded from wpiw.net/download/addons is safe to use, I presume (if it's the one I've used so far, it's been working fine). I don't see why it would need to be version-specific (I mean why it - the addon - would need updating) if all the CPL Item does is run an executable, but maybe I'm missing something.
Honestly, I haven't even tried HostsXpert yet, so I'll let you know when I do. So far I thought it would be more confortable editing the hosts file by hand, but I've realised over the years that I may need to update the ad-servers-black-list once in a while and still keep my additions to the file which may be too many clicks away...
I happened to use WinSock XP Fix maybe a couple of times when some malware or other issue tampered with the networking system and it turned out to be the only solution. It was merely a suggestion, I haven't given any thought to it having a place in the Control Panel at all in fact.
Nice to finally meet you Kel, and I really am sorry for having been one of the thousands of people who just download files and use your work without paying any respect... I'll try to make up for this the only way I can and know how, and that is giving something back to the community - in this case some addons of my own (very soon, I think). Also, I'll send you an e-mail concerning my experience with role-playing games, so don't wonder who that is from!
