I can't figure out how to make this 3.0 version run fast, on both XP and Win7 it runs slowly compared to older version. I switches between 1 and 4 cpu too.

possibly over the weekend if i find some free time.
however it will be a VERY large file as x64 requires x86 files as well.

after downloading and installing I went to the VBox forum and it appears this build 62298 has a bug and therefore has been updated to build 62321,

any chance you can update this when you have a spare moment?

Thanks for all these very quick updates of these reportedly buggy releases.
Funny thing is I never notice any difference, each release works just fine for me and my limited usage for testing XPsp3 and ubuntu builds.

i think the updates have to do with OSX as a guest OS.
in any event Oracle is driing me nuts....

no such thing from VirtualBox, they package 32 and 64 bit in the one distro.

You probably know that the official stock installer from Oracle contains both x68 & amd64 msi's.
You can extract the msi's and common cab file with the following command line:
VirtualBox-3.2.8-64453-Win.exe -x -p C:\VBox

Then, study user_hidden's x86 version using 7Zsplit and try to make a silent or multi-mode installer or switchless addon yourself. It's not that difficult.

i haven't even looked at the extension pack yet as i don't use it.
let me have a look and i'll get back to you.

seems to be a new format for vbox package format.
you can decompress it with 7zip.
from what i see there a 5 files added as well the pxe.rom

i think it has to be installed on a live system.
when clicking on the extension pack it will auto open vbox to handle it.

so don't think there is any silent ability.

u_h, thanks anyway.

I usually install VBox at ROE and was hoping to follow it with the ext-pack installation.

During the normal installation of the ext-pack two dialog windows appear. One for PUEL agreement and the other I can't remember at the moment. These two windows are what need to be switched off. I guess I could make an AutoIT script to do this, but I prefer looking for a more elegant solution if it exists.
