updated to fit latest XP/w2k3 UpdatePacks
Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

I would like to kindly ask for help with creating Post-SP3 Update Pack for Polish Windows XP.
I have already read which updates are included in original OnePiece Update Pack and tried to download Polish version of them.
Unfortunately it was not possible to download from Microsoft site 78 of them - they were not available even in English version (KB #: 889320, 897571, 915800, 948877, 949127, 949900, 950305, 950616, 950820, 950982, 951159, 951347, 951709, 951822, 952117, 952595, 953028, 953155, 954193, 954232, 955356, 955567, 955830, 955988, 956048, 956572, 956588, 957502, 958149, 958249, 959160, 959267, 959873, 960071, 960519, 960655, 960970, 961067, 961184, 961187, 961451, 961605, 963093, 965220, 967048, 967705, 968585, 968764, 969238, 969262, 970159, 970483, 970553, 970658, 971165, 971234, 971323, 971345, 971455, 973502, 973624, 974266, 976323, 978835, 979309, 981073, 981669, 981997, 983234, 2124261, 2270406, 2290570, 2436673, 2454533, 2491683, 2584146, 2584577 and 2629462). How could I get them??

I would like to also ask if there exist any how to about building such update pack using DXUPAC. Description in this thread is rather short.
I had been using nLite for years but I have some issues with newest updates so I would like to try such self made polish post-SP3 Update Pack and RVM Integrator...

I have tried many times and got some of those missing updates. There are some issues with Microsoft download service because even if it lists update in Polish it will give you "no public files available" for many of them while you can get english version without issues. Still I got same errors for few updates despite language version selected... I will post a list of those I am not able to download tomorrow in the evening, perhaps someone will be able to provide alternate download links.

It took me 3 weeks to nearly complete updates as in april update pack. I am still unable to download 3 updates: KB970159, KB983234 and KB2544958. If anyone has english version of them please send me a link. TIA

Could some one provide me MD5 hash of KB970159? I found something which should be KB970159 but I am not sure if it is proper, untouched file.
Which files from KB983234 do I need? Will just MSVBVM60.DLL work (as from 416967_intl_i386_zip.exe downloaded from email link requested @ http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBH ... 34&kbln=pl)?

Is KB2544958 downloadable??

KB2699988 supersedes KB2675157, dudeuk. The creator may need to be modified to take that into account.

Creator uses newer files only so older versions should be ignored. Anyway retry without KB2675157

Here's an Updatepack created with the present version of DXUPAC and it seems to work flawlessly:

Compare it with yours and see what is different.

I don't know what happens there but a quick test with Windows Xp SP3 ENU MSDN + RVMi-integrated OnePiece_IE8_WinXPSP3_True_AddOn_ENU.7z (Hash MD5 = AB3E11B575C7EF4386AF060648B81B2B) installed on a VM with new WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe + MU + KB898461, shows no updates required by MU

There's a problem with the UpdatePack/Addon Creator in Windows 2000. Frankly speaking, it's impossible to use it :/

Here I explained the details.

first of all, this tool use by default "Segoe UI" font. probably missing in that system.
Anyway here's a screenshot just taken from a clean win2k pro with the latest official SP only (and Segoe font):
Image

About functions, GUI has been made with AutoIt, maybe AutoIt build used is not compatible with win2k.
Addons created are well working under win2k but the tool itself has been designed/tested for XP only

In my opinion, the word “Universal” in the title is completely inappropriate and should be replaced with “Specialized”. When netfx3.5, netfx4.0, and Adobe are required, it is far from being universal.

To be universal, the user should have complete control of what is included. I would like to be able to make an update pack that contain hot fixes only and it does not do that. Is there an older version that will?

"Universal" is not related to the single Onepiece's updatepack you can build by yourself with its help (anyway in Onepiece's UpdatePack, downloaded "ready for use" or self-made, netfx 3.5 and netfx 4.0 ARE included) but it means you can use it for doing by yourself a lot of different stuff in many different languages.
It's true that only Onepiece's XP UpdatePack as-is can be created and you can't modify it during construction but in this case "Universal" means you can do it in 24 localizations!
And with DXUPAC you can get not only Onepiece's XP UpdatePack, but Onepiece's Win2k3 UpdatePack, customizable Internet Explorer 7&8 in a bunch of languages and in "true", RunOnceEx and Svcpack version, for XP or W2k3, automatic SP3 slipstreaming in XP MCE and a lot of different True Addons, for different OSes (when possible): WMP11, netfx1.1. DirectX, Silverlight, WMFC, WRMC, Bitlocker To GO, Windows Defender, Vista Boot Screen, CCleaner, OpenOffice, Virtualbox, Adobe Reader 9, Foxit Reader.
So IMHO a true universal tool.

Onepiece addon creator

Post by minutka15 » Thu Nov 22, 2012 3:07 am

Hi Nonno!
Thank's for your great work. very interesting tool that I've ever seen.
Easy to use, nice gui. Was very surprised when I saw the size of the created project ie8 + 7 hotfixes = 12.6 mb.
When i created silent installer myself, internet explorer 8 and all existing updates, it was about 30 mb.
Everythings fine but on the first logon i got - Error C:\windows\system32\iedkcs32.dll bla bla bla... But after logon it's work perfectly without any problems.
So it's not only with your onepiece addon creator. The same error always comming when i use any other ie8 silent installers. Have you any idea to fix this error?
By the way when you install this addon on the live system there are no error and no problem. This error comming when you use at t13 or runonce..

I don't think the cause is IE8 addon either, because svcpack/runoncex addons uses defaul windows setup without modifications.
I think the cause is instead a modified XP CD. In many years of IE addons I see that error only when you remove Onepiece's IE8 True addon from a running XP using CPL/Add Remove Windows Component and you you don't use the untouched CD as needed to restore IE6 but an updated one.
In this case, you will get an IE8+IE6 file mix: IE setup will go out of control and Windows won't recognize the orphan files.
Have you tested it on a fresh CD with nothing else? Have you removed something with Nlite? Do you add others addons along with IE8?

solution for ie8

Post by minutka15 » Thu Nov 22, 2012 12:01 pm

CD is clean and fresh, Nothing slipstreamed, nothing added nothing removed. NO nlite used.
I have all day long to resolve this problem and i found solution.
First i have installed IE8 and with the second command just copied this dll to directory windows\system32 using following batch file:

Code: Select all

xcopy "iedkcs32.dll" "%SYSTEMROOT%\system32" /E /C /I /Q /H /Y
regsvr32.exe /s "iedkcs32.dll"
And it works perfectly!
This can be solution for anyone who have got the same error.
The second thing, i would like to know about wmp11, can your utility make wmp11 as ie7 or ie8 svcpack addon? there are no option to do that, but maybe you can write some patch to make it work?

ah non, ça marche pas. If you must do a workaround like that, it means setup has failed and this could be the first time we see update.exe failing its job.
IE8 setup doesn't register iedkcs32.dll file with regsvr32 but adds the related registry only.

We've just tried a test with DXUPAC and
IE8-WindowsXP-KB2510531-x86-ENU.exe
IE8-WindowsXP-KB2544521-x86-ENU.exe
IE8-WindowsXP-KB2598845-x86-ENU.exe
IE8-WindowsXP-KB2632503-x86-ENU.exe
IE8-WindowsXP-KB2744842-x86-ENU.exe
IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe
files

We get NonnoFabio_IE8_WinXPSP3_SvcPack_AddOn_ENU and then extract from its svcpack folder ie8.exe file then installed in a VM running it from desktop of a clean windows xp sp3 msdn: always OK as usual.

Post your C:\Windows\ie8.log and C:\Windows\ie8_main.log files. You could also upload somewhere your ie8.exe file from the svcpack addon: we give it a look.

About WMP11, Ricks has already done the job http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/9898 ... -kb970159/

updated (improved Arabic UpdatePack creation)

Extra! Onepiece has released on Skydrive and Voidseesaw Repositories (mirror) the localized v6.8.0 XP Updatepacks for 24 different Windows XP localized versions, as created by DXUPAC, to give an example to DXUPAC users on the result they will get.

Please note that these test edition updatepacks won't be updated and supported.
And take note also that Microsoft doesn't like its hotfixes uploaded here and there (someone will remember what happened to Autopatcher). So it's mandatory that everyone downloads by himself from official Microsoft sites the updates and optional components he needs without asking elsewhere.

Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

@tjwasiak
above you already have the Update Pack PLK (Polish), in the future you need to create it yourself, in the end need to do just a single click to create the UpdatePack

@All
the same thing too for other UpdatePack FRA-French or NLD-Dutch ect ect all others

here is the list DEU-German to give an example, need to download all files in LOCAL folder (in this case German folder) and all files in INTL folder

Ciao a tutti.

Hi dziubek, here http://sdrv.ms/11gW92F Polish folder download it now because after going to close the link, you know microsoft does not like too upload their update, they want to force and also for safety of the user, that user first goes through microsoft.com

Ciao.
