[Add-On v1.1] QTTab Bar 0.9.6 & QT Address Bar v1.2.2.1

Please note that this add-on requires .NET Framework v2.0 in order to operate.  Failure to install it will result in no navigation buttons or address bar by default, however, it will show up once .NET is installed.

QT Address Bar 0.9.6
Replaces the standard address bar to make your XP addressbar more handy, like in Vista.

QTTab Bar v1.2.2.1
Adds tabs to your Windows Explorer and replaces the standard buttons with the QT Standard Buttons.
ChangeLog:
v1.0 = Initial release of add-on
v1.1 = Fixed entries to add correct filenames to the XP source.
v2.0 = Added uninstaller so it is now removable.

NOTICE: I've corrected the incorrect version numbers in the topic title by swapping the 2 version numbers around. Sorry if this lead to confusion for anybody!

QT Address Bar 0.9.6 ONLY
mooms modified my original add-on to remove the QT Tab Bar portion and added a working uninstaller to the add-on! Thank you, mooms, ricktendo64, and Kelsenellenelvian!!!

Uninstaller Present

With the Help of ricktendo64, the inf now delete the files on next reboot.
No more need to kill explorer, much better uninstall !

Still one glitch : Original XP address bar will be restored only for the user who had launched the uninstall.
Other user(s) will have to manually re-enable the XP address bar after uninstall of QTAdressBar.
It's a HKCU key, so i can't do better. (tried HKLM and HKCR, no go)

No Uninstaller Present

I have also updated the non-uninstallable version, now the inf and pnf files are deleted on reboot and sysoc.inf is cleaned after install.
The install is flawless now. ^_^

I'll see what I can do about an uninstaller for this add-on.

There's an unofficial version that's supposed to be compatible with Windows 7 on SourceForge. I would not recommend using it just yet since XP users won't receive any added benefit and the program itself is in alpha stage of development. But give it a few months or perhaps a year, and we may wind up seeing some improvements on the program.

Doug,

I have been trying to download the updated versions of QT Address Bar, but I keep getting:

Error: File not found.

When you have some time, can you check that?

Yeah, if you go on http://xptsp.filetap.com, links for my QT AdressBar addons are not directly available, so here is my own mirrors on mediafire and direct links on XPTSP.

Without uninstallation you can still uninstall it by launching the official setup (it's the original behaviour of QT AdressBar)
the inf and pnf files are deleted on reboot and sysoc.inf is cleaned after install. No traces leaved.

XPTSP: QT_AddressBar_inf_AddOn_v1.2.rar

With uninstallation Custom made uninstall, no traces leaved. Can be installed with right click -> Install
Unavoidable glitch : Original XP address bar will be restored only for the user who had launched the uninstall.
Other user(s) will have to manually re-enable the XP address bar after uninstall of QTAdressBar.

Doug, I don't want to hijack this thread but I want to ask mooms something. Just say the word and I will start a new thread.

mooms,

A few days ago I downloaded QT AddressBar_inf_AddOn_v2.2.rar you posted just above, MD5 checked.

I just got around to integrating it in my XPSP3 source--integration went fine.
Made an iso, then loaded it in VBox. Setup went fine, but there appears to be a problem, (or I'm doing something wrong.)

In Windows Explorer>View>Toolbars, I see the option to select QT Address Bar, but I can't select it. I tried several times but could not select it and the QT bar never appeared in Explorer. The default explorer address bar appears no problem.

So, tell what I'm doing wrong or could you check it please?

Made a quick test in VirtualBox:

Image

As you can see QT AddressBar is enabled and checked right after install (just needed to log off before)
I don't have tested in integration (missing the time...), but normally this will works as well as live install.

A silly question: Do you have .Net installed ? 2.0 is the minimum version for QT AddressBar.
If you have dot Net installed try this : make a right click, install on the inf file, does it works ?

quote mooms,

Not a silly question at all. I had forgotten about the dependency on .Net 2.
The image I tested excluded my ROEx so .Net was not installed.
My error there.
