@OnePiece, I am disappointed to read this as I'm sure many others are, as well. Hopefully an opportunity will provide itself in the future, as XP seems to be very much alive and well, and probably will be for some time to come (especially in light of the shortcomings of its successors). Best wishes.

Another reports:
regarding .NET updates, I found by directly replace the dll assembly in the respective netfxNN.cab, the update will recognized by WU. Seems it check for file version instead of registry.
I found issue with Onepiece UP
I have no "Protect" folder in
C:\Documents And Settings\[USER ACCOUNT]\Application Data\Microsoft
USER ACCOUNT here supposedly include all users (try show hidden and system files in folder option), but all "protect" folder are missing which had to with cryptography routines, because of this MS SQL Server can't install at all.
My Installation is with default setting of UpdatePack.
With Original XP SP3 I have those folders after installation finished.
Can anyone confirm this issue?
edit: installation of SQL server will succeed but the service can't be started (even after restart).

I can confirm that harkaz SP4 (with all .NET enabled) and 5eraph UP works fine with SQL Server Express, so this issue only affect OnePiece UP.
As OnePiece won't maintain it anymore... BE WARNED about this issue (until someone figure out workaround/fix). While SQL Server isn't an end user software, it often become dependencies of other applications. Furthermore the core issue maybe that "Protected Storage" service is prevented from working properly, considering that it's a security-related service IMO people should discouraged from using this UP at the moment.

OnePiece we appreciate that you have made a massive contribution to the forum in eleven years and want to move on, so please do one final favor for us and spend an evening posting detailed instructions about how to update your projects so that others can maintain them.OnePiece Alb wrote:Hi Stormit, I'm really sorry. really for the moment I can not find free time, think or updated for years and years Win2k3 UpdatePack and in the end I could not make Win2k3 UpdatePack final, I mean really for the moment is impossible for me to find free time and focus on certain things

However even this time already updated the file, so you need to use the UpdatePack v1.0.7 (It must be in google drive soon), and after go in MEGA or BOX and use the (Last) DXUPAC to create the OnePiece_WinXP_Embedded_Post-SP3_True_AddOn
attention (for reason of time) only UpdatePack enu is been tested in Virtual Machines, so before burning the ISO as usual is recommended to test the ISO in Virtual Machine

Thank OnePiece, I was wrong with my guess about Protected Storage, I tried Keepass and successfully set Master key using Windows credential so it works. But NetfxRepair second step failed as harkaz did and first step (re-register MSI, NETFX) didn't help either. MSDN links make me more confused... I think those wasn't related with my case, though it might still related to .NET.
Still it doesn't fully explain why SQLExpress failed while Harkaz SP4 or 5eraph+Rick NETFX AIO works. SQLExpress was version 2005 and is dependencies of MS Office Accounting.
Thanks again.

Found these new XP Embedded updates:
15 august (not that new): kb3177723 (tzchange.exe) replaces 3162835
Today:
kb3175024 replaces 3153171 (ntkrnlmp.exe etc)
kb3177186 sprv0413.dll (has sprv0413.dll and srv.sys but doesn't fully replace kb3153704 or kb3161561)
kb3184122 oleaut32.dll (does not fully replace kb3139940)
kb3185319 ie8 - replaces kb3175443
kb3185911 user32.dll, win32k.sys - replaces 3177725
So that's 5 new updates, 3 superseded.
5eraph, can you confirm? Thanks!

Looks good, Atari800xl.
Also, there's a Silverlight update (KB3182373) for those that have it installed. It supersedes all previous versions (which ideally should be uninstalled first), including KB3080333 in OnePiece's update pack.
KB890830 is no longer being updated for XP and Win2003 (x86 or x64 versions). v5.40 fails with an "operating system not supported" error on XP x86; and fails silently on XP x64.

sprv0413.dll (Service Pack resource version 0413) is a localized resource message container DLL that is not unique to any one update. In other words, you'll never see the file updated by itself, only in updates with other files. This one is only for "Dutch (Netherlands)" XP x86 installs. The name for this file in US English XP x86 installs is xpsp4res.dll.Atari800xl wrote:kb3177186 sprv0413.dll (has sprv0413.dll and srv.sys but doesn't fully replace kb3153704 or kb3161561)

Before I mention the other new POS updates, I was wondering about the new ie8 update (kb3191492).
I noticed "inetcomm.dll" was updated last month (kb3191492), but this file is missing in the new kb3185319. Not sure if that happened before, only noticed it now.
Does that mean I need to keep the september version as well? (seems a waste to keep the 10 mb update for this 700kb file?)

You're welcome, santoptol.
MRT is probably maintained by a different team, prabocor rajasa. They stopped offering newer versions for Win2003 (x64) on the Microsoft Update website a month before they stopped for all editions of XP.
The full list of updates released since the last Patch Tuesday, including Silverlight:

You had it right in the first sentence. KB3191492 is newer than KB3185319. "inetcomm.dll" is new this month, so KB3185319 is entirely superseded.Atari800xl wrote:Before I mention the other new POS updates, I was wondering about the new ie8 update (kb3191492).

5eraph do you know whether MSE definition update still usable for XP or not ? This make me worries, I haven't update it since august.
Don't know, prabocor rajasa. There was a lengthy discussion about Microsoft Security Essentials on MSFN if you're interested.
.NET updates also seem to be available. Haven't checked them for myself yet.

Not sure if this is the correct thread to post this, but I just wanted to share that the Microsoft Update Catalog can now be used with other browsers!
http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com
I did a quick test with Firefox and it seems to work nicely! It gives you direct links to updates instantly!
If you use the link without the "www", you get the old ActiveX experience:
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com
Thanks to abbodi1406 for the tip!

Thank you VERY MUCH!
I can immediately tell I would have missed the second replaced update in your list (line 3): KB3184122.
Ready to build a new XP addon (and iso), thanks again for your continued support.

Huh? What?! This certainly is GOOD NEWS!!!
It's a Christmas Miracle! THANK YOU, Onepiece, such a wonderful and unexpected surprise, I will update my ISO right away...
[All through 2016, I still used your great DXUPAC to create a new (localized!) POS addon each and every month, using the "/dx_all" option, I'm still very grateful that you showed us how to do that].
Thanks again, hope you have a nice holiday season and a happy new year!

Thank you guys
remember about the DotNet (as always dotnet are full update), but for info DotNet40 and DotNet32 now include last (November 2016) QFE\LDR Rollups update (it seems that the last GDR update is to May 2016), seems that Microsoft will release now QFE\LDR only

I was just wondering is it possible to install this update pack on an existing XP install?
or is it slipstream only?

I haven't seen any new POS updates yet... Shouldn't they be there by now?
EDIT: Sorry, after browsing around a bit, it seems there are none...
Like somebody said: "You can't improve on perfection", so it looks like XP is finally "perfect"

Re: Onepiece XP Post-SP3 AIO Update Pack FINAL
There is no pos updates in one piece
files seems to be older in OnePiece_Windows_XP_Post-SP3_UpdatePack_v1.0.8_FINAL_ENU_7DABD8F7F0179C180D3596839E0CB732.7z
like NT Kernel & System is 5.1.2600.6419 but newer exists .
is there any extra addon for pos update or i am using old update pack ?

We've been discussing the creation of your own Pos addon using OnePiece's DXUPAC here for a few years now.
Just read the last pages of this thread.
I agree with you that (ab-)using this thread for discussing the POS Addon is not really the correct way...

Re: Onepiece XP Post-SP3 AIO Update Pack FINAL
Thanks!!! See, when checking "win32k.sys" in the older updates, I *did* remember to keep on searching after the first occurence, but with KB3216916 (msxml3.dll) I stopped after the first one. The solution was just a "repeat find" away.
I'm afraid I'll never learn...
Thanks for the correction once again, I'm ready to make my new XP2017 iso! (First the new OnePiece POS addon, of course).

Re:
if you show me that this Update Pack integrates perfectly with XP MCE I offer you a dinner!nonno fabio wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2010 2:02 pmUpdated.
Now XP post-SP3 AIO UpdatePack can be integrated in a XP MCE 2005 SP3 source.
First you must slipstream Service Pack 3 on a clean XP MCE SP2 source with the help ofUniversal UpdatePack/Addon Creator.
Then integrate UpdatePack using Nlite or RVMi. As you know Onepiece's UpdatePack cannot include MCE-specific hotfixes, as RollUp KB900325 and KB973768, but you can run them from Svcpack at T-13: KB900325 needs a running .net 1.1 framework to install and it will find it.

the truth is quite different ...
if you integrate this pack to XP MCE by an error during the integration of the .Net 2.0
Also you can not integrate KB900325 to T-13 but only after installation with RunOnceEX
But in fact there are more than a dozen upgrades to integrate to get the complete RollUp2 and only with a RunOnce works but beware you have to find the right sequence of the various with update
