The first two entries are ok, the next three are invalid, six through nine are ok, ten is incorrect and actually goes the wrong way and eleven is ok.
So to recap
The left hand side needs to be in the 8.3 format, this filename should match the filename in the [dosnet_files] section and also the actual in pack file name, that’s the one stored in your cab file, if the 8.3 format is not long enough then you put the full filename (the one you actually want after installation) on the right hand side of the line, like entries 3, 6, 8 and 10. The installation process will automatically rename them.
I know a bunch of you are going to respond with The usual "I have had no problems so far" bs but that doesn’t mean what you are doing is correct and it doesn’t mean others who may install differently will be as lucky as you are.
Its also unfair to post these packs allowing your users to break there dos based installs without a warning.
Please also note, the next version of the Integrator will warn of these errors during Integration.
Edit.
It's Probably a good idea to also make the [filenames] section also 8.3
Code: Select all
[filenames]
