[Release] Internet Explorer 7 English w/Updates (v2.0.4a)
I did not use any download manager or firewall programs.
once i clicked on the link, this is what i get:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /NR_IE7en_Addon_1.0.6b_alt.7z on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Basically I get the above message for all of Ryan's download, could this be the problem of my ISP?

@MrNxDmX :: i would like to thank you for this addon
and on a matter of seconding a request from a bit further up the thread.. can this thread be cleaned/broken off? makes it slightly hard to wade through with that many pages of reading
especially since most of the previous posts have been addressed and fixed if they were issues
Thanks for your time and effort

If you're referring to Broly10000's post, TechnoHunter, then I'll go you one better: A new post should be started each Patch Tuesday if this addon need updating. That way, a record is kept of each problem/solution that has been encountered to date. Ryan does this already with his Update Packs and I think it's a good idea.

Much Better idea. This thread is just turning too big.
Changing the subject again. Has anyone tested this add-on in Win 2K3 Small Bussiness Server?
Umm, all i can say is those files dont come with any of ie7 hotfixes. They belong to latest ie6 cumulative hotfix.aliumalik wrote:@MrNxDmX

If you dont latest ie6 cumulative fix before installing ie7, windows update wont ask you to download and install that fix. So, you wont have those files (updated ones - v3121) in your system.
You should have a system thats fully updated before installing ie7. Thats the only way to see them.
What do others think about locking this topic and opening a new one with every updated ie7 addon release? Or just cleaning this topic a bit?
And last question: I'll use date as addon version (year-month-date: eg. 70811). Is it ok for all?

Hello MrNxDmX,
I dont know if this has been asked. Will the NR_IE7en_Addon_1.0.6b.7z (non alt) have any problems without the OOBE? I remove OOBE with nLite will that cause any problems?
So far the only problem I have is with the Flash Player on IE. The RVMUpdate pack updater of code65536 has updated Flash version which I integrate also. Why doesn't my Flash plugin work?
Thank you for the IE7 addon!.

It shouldn't be, the_guy. Windows Script 5.6 is already in the RyanVM Update Pack and code65536 plans to update it to v5.7 in his addon.
Ok, sorry for late reply.
I'll update my addon with latest 2 hotfixes released yesterday.
I'll use date format (ymd) as addon version from now on.
Cleaning the topic would be diffucult for me. I'm not a mod here.
@ maveric73ph: My addon does nothing with flash plugin. Did you try withOUT my addon?
Everything should go fine without OOBE. My addon depends on registry settings, not oobe
@ Broly10000: I'll try with latest server 2003 enterprise (trial), after updating the addons. Will post results here.
@ the_guy: As 5eraph stated, its a fix that should go with update pack, not ie7 addon.
Gimme some days, then i'll update my addons.

IE7 1.06b Errors during install Solved
FYI for those who have been getting errors during the copy process to the hard drive with the following error %win_comp%.inf it seems like the order of integrating of the update packs has caused great frustration to all.
In the previous post about the order is wrong
But this is order that worked for me....
When integrating the files do one group of files at a time, you may want to copy each step for backups and easy integrating when a new update is released, you won't need to restart from the beginning.
1. Windows Media Player 11 slipstreamed 0.81 with all updates
2. IE7 1.06b Alt (I never received any error messages when I ran this version of IE unlike the original release)
3. Ryan Update pack 2.1.11
4. Update pack 2.1.11.10
5. Rogue's Runtime packs can be any number of packs except for the Java update 6r2
6. Java V6 r2 update
7. M$ updates KB936782, KB9338127, any others can be added here...
8. Drivers
9. Program Addon Packs ....
10. After XP is installed, immediately do a reboot, otherwise IE7 will not work!!!! NO NOT use IE!!!!
11.Install Net framework 3.0 silent installer....
12. Activate Windows and check for updates, should be 0 updates.... ENJOY!!!!
Let me know if anyone else was getting the same errors or any problems, this worked for me on my system.

@hgary:
do you do all those steps one at a time? that's real hard work. i integrate the same things you listed and even more (maybe 5 addons more) btw, i use the original WMP11 Vanilla addon of boooggy. for my proc though, i do all those on one go with nlite, with all the addons, tweaks, removals, the works! then i add the BTS drivers and thats it. it create the iso and burn my new xpcd. no problems at all... and, i even open IE7 on first boot and it works fine the first time and all the time.
only minor problems I have are the flash plugin and the unrecognized url shortcut by IE. no biggie though, can be resolved easily after install. but once I solve those, my UA XPCD will be perfect.

Maveric73ph> I have tried using IE7 with other versions of the plugin and it never worked afterwards so to make sure it works I reboot.
As far the backups are concerned, it makes it easier to update or go back when there is an update or if you have multiple computers that don't need or want all the features from one computer to another,Example the addon maker, Nlite, administrator programs and similar addons which are not needed on every computer.
As far as which order, I have had the drivers first and Themes installed after but I would follow the order of what I had posted.
Steps 1 through 6 must be done in this order, separately just clear out the update file box in the integrator or rerun nlite whichever program you prefer to use to make your ISO file.
The other addons which you can add don't need to be run as a separate integration. Perhaps I wasn't clear on the instructions, but never the less hopefully this will clear things up.
TechnoHunter > Thanks for the info about the %win_comp%.inf addons problems I had to download the affected file which were updated, I try to keep those addon's idated to the latest version, I guess I slipped
But all is working now and no errors or updates, my version is nearly 2.3 GB big now which includes open office, and a lot of themes...

or you could use this onerunningfool87 wrote:one of the updates that needs to be added requires a LOT of changes to the inf files...be patient
in the meantime, you can use the current IE7 addon and use nlite to add KB937143 and KB938127 after.

In all honesty, they are both excellent packs. If you use Onepieces, you get an up to date one, I had no problems. If you use this this one .6b with the two updates - you get an up to date one, I had no problems either.nonno fabio wrote:or you could use this onerunningfool87 wrote:one of the updates that needs to be added requires a LOT of changes to the inf files...be patient

Both great packs, thanks to both, esp. MrNxDmX since we're talking about his pack here

I got an error using this addon with custom XP SP2 (removed IE).
I tried both addons, regular and alternate, but I got the same error: IEDKCS32.DLL The specified module could not be found.
I'm not getting this message during installation, but when I'm entering Windows for the first time.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

just in case, any idea how to remove/uninstall IE7 and revert to IE6 after Installation of the uA XP
btw, I'm using the Safe File
Answer does not vary on which add-on you integrate. It can not be uninstalled! These addons will integrate IE7 into your windows source. Can NOT be uninstalled
EDIT: Only way to revert back your OS back to IE6 is not to integrate this or any other IE7 add-on, and to install the IE7 executable without the /nobackup switch.

if you want the latest version of IE7, grab NrNxDmX's addon, integrate it, then use nlite to integrate KB937143 and KB938127.
