you might consider to change the versioning system, ie. add a minor revision number (like 3.8.1 or whatever-the-design-you-want) for little things like AutoItX, OpenSSL updates
I think it will be less confusing for everybody, including yourself
(MSVC 2008 integration is far more important than an AutoItX update)
and it will stop version numbers growing too fast

Hi Kels. You can find a newer version of OpenAL32.dll (6.14.465.0)
inside of a NVIDIA driver. Just unrar the installer and go to AudioDrv folder. I think is better to download the untouched file.
Cheers.

new VC++ 2008 Runtime Version 9.0.30304.0:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 628a267ef0
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 628a267ef0
I followed the link and the download is called Visual C++ 2008 Feature Pack Redistributable as opposed to the earlier verion not having the 'Feature Pack' as part of the name. Is there a difference and/or does the latest, version 9.0.30404.0, supersede the former, version 9.0.21022?Sereby wrote:new VC++ 2008 Runtime Version 9.0.30304.0:

I don't know if this is appropo for the runtime pack or not, but how about this .dll:
wiaaut.dll, available from msft in the package WIAAutSDK.zip
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... EA32537E29
Just need to be able to copy the dll into system32 and register it (RegSvr32 WIAAut.dll).
This .dll is often, but not always, loaded/registered by driver software for scanners, web cams, and digital cameras. It can be thought of as MSFTs equiv of a TWAIN driver. Lots of newer scanners are WIA Automation 'compatible' these days.

@Kel
Would this link at ActiveWin about the "Feature Pack" be of any use to at least work out what it's all about?

Spotted cygwin1.dll v1005.25.0.0 in Aircrack-NG v0.9.3.
I read on a few pages that cygwin1.dll superseeds cygwinb19.dll, can anyone confirm?

Aircrack is a common white hat security tool. Quite frankly, if you're using anything less than WPA2-PSK to secure your wireless then you might as well call it public domain.
The application itself is not illegal, even though it may have illegal uses....aircrack is a set of tools for auditing wireless networks.

@Kell: thanks for the update.
@ENU_user: thanks for you explanation. I was only thinking that it would be possible that no program uses this file anymore because they can all work with the newer one, so it become totally useless. But you're right, if someone run across one app that use this it has to be still included in the Runtimes Pack.
