Thanks for the release!! I was waiting in great anticipation

.
1 lil' thing:
nLite 1.4.9.1 or RyanVM Integrator 1.5.4b08.4 is required to properly integrate this release.
Integrator 1.5.4? Is 1.5.3 adequate or not? Will we (1.5.3 users) need to upgrade? (If so, where to download?)
Thanks

!!

Hi, Ryan,
Thank you for your work. I'm looking forward to support this.
Only a small annoying:
I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0. When wanting to extract the Integrator, it said:
File contains Trojan program and cannot be Disinfected. Trojan program:
Trojan.Win32.StartPage.dbp
I got the Integrator from your tracker.
What about it?
Thanks again.

It is a false positive, armond. Compiled AutoIt applications tend to trigger oversensitive AVs until they're whitelisted.

WFM...
The various HTTP mirrors are all on different servers and spread over two different hosts, so I find it hard to believe that they would all go down at the same time.

I don't think they're "down". Instead, i'm receiving "403 Forbidden" error. Which could mean only certain people are -at this moment- allowed to grab files. But that's my pure speculation.
I'll try with torrents. Thanks for this fantastic up :]
Cheers.

It'll be in system32\drivers if and when your system actually needs it. All drivers installed via hotfix get a copy put in Driver Cache as well so the system will use the updated file if and when it needs it. That's irrelevant for the update packs since they get updated in driver.cab during integration.

any external programs depend on your installation.
only some internal interface will change into english. maybe My Computer, Internet Explorer, and other common components.

id like to know if files from windows 7 are integrable in the pack? like msxml6 SP3 or d3d9.dll 6.1.7000.0 or ntfs.sys 6.1.7000.0?
I already put makecab and expand in my pack but I dont know how to put these files.

It's usually fine to update standalone non-critical utility executables like expand. Mixing and matching other components is generally a bad idea. Mixing and matching system libraries is an incredibly bad idea.

ok. anyway there's probably few differences except changes in build. I remarked msxml6 is sp3 in windows 7 and I didnt find hotfix for that. (still sp2 for xp) (I even didnt install windows 7 just saw that in install.wim)

Worked great for me.
Can't wait for v1.0.4 if it's coming out since building another one here in a couple days for 2 PC's. If not no biggie then.

Only one dumb, but important question for me, please understand.
When I make new instalation of Windows via Nlite 1.49, is it safe to remove all "strange and stupid" languages from instalation, like all African and Asian languages ? Is this a problem later, tell me?

I don't know, but if I were from one of those places I wouldn't like my language to be refered as "strange and stupid". That is just rude.
I think that since a lot of us in this forum don't have english as our mother tongue, you could get more answers by being just a little more polite, or more considerate.
just my 2 cents

Some days I am engaged in tests with your update pack 1.0.3 and for myself has drawn a conclusion that this package for today is the best one! Also tested this
http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6438 update pack , however after system installation appear very much brakes. I do not wish to tell anything bad to the author of this package, may be i did something wrong but with your update pack the system works much faster.
Don't know why don't know how. but faster...
And last question RyanVM ,
How long to wait the next one v1.0.4 ?
Thanks!

Given my past bad luck with giving dates, I'm not going to say how long. Just know I'm working on it and will get it done ASAP.

I see your point on the March updates Jay! But Ryan if you could release a new update before that I will be over the moon. My windows is very "sick". If i see another BSOD I'm going to pull out the little hair I have left and I have grown quiet attached to that whats left

Jay: That means it might not be for another 3 weeks or so. You never know how busy he is or will be.
I was hoping for tonight since I have to do my cousins real quick, but what are you going to do.
Hopefully even being in Safe mode those OEM scripts will work out ok, his is really really screwed up. Can't even be in normal bootup more than 30 seconds now.

Integrated 1.0.3 into clean SP3 XP Pro source with 1.4.9.1 nLite and ended up with wuauclt1.exe uncompressed in the root folder (outside of I386). It is also present, updated, and properly compressed in the I386 folder. Should it be in the root folder?
