I just did an unattended setup with this switch in RunOnceEx.cmd:
NDP20-KB917283-x86.exe /quiet /norestart
Worked flawlessly.

I cannot find an addon yet. If one has been released, could someone post a link?

I'm wondering, In this MS article they state that this update can be integrated.

Integrates the update into the Windows source files. These files are located at the path that is specified in the switch. ... 6-033.mspx
(You have to expand the "Security Update Information" followed by "The Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0"
plus sign to see the switches.)

Obviously this fix can be integrated but i'm wondering integrated into what ?
Usually hotfixes can be integrated into the XP install files, but since Framework isn't on the CD I wonder what "files" they are referring to ?

I did a search for the word "windows installer 3.1" and can't find it in
that article ?
In big letters I do see "Supported Security Update Installation Switches"
On that page they have a link that further explains the supported installation switches:
That referred article basically says the same thing:
Integrates the software updates into the Windows installation source files located at the path specified. Note that :path refers to the folder that contains the i386 folder.
